Description: 2 half day walks that can be combined as a full day walk. For this bring a packed lunch. Strenuous, bring walking boots and water and wind proof clothing. Portpatrick South 10.00am - 12.30pm A cliff top walk from Portpatrick to Morrich Bay (bus provided to get back to Portpatrick). We will be looking at Portpatrick itself, the former railway, Dunskey Castle and there will be chances for sea watching throughout.



Portpatrick North 13.30pm - 16.00pm. Killantrigan Lighthouse to Portpatrick. A cliff top walk starting with a bus to the lighthouse and a walk back to Portpatrick along the Southern Upland Way through some of the most fabulous scenery in Dumfries & Galloway. You will have the opportunity to learn about Killantrigan Lighthouse, ship radio and shipwrecks that happen when all of this does not work as well as the cliff top plants and coast nestings birds.
